The Death of Teddy Bear Marat
Based on David's The Death of Marat. The original painting shows Jean-Paul Marat, assassinated while working in the bath tub. David's singular way of presenting the event as a historical moment effectively made Marat a martyr, and became a part of the discourse leading to the Terror.
