Based on Reubens' "Rape of the Daughters of Leucippus," which depicts the mythical Greek twins, Castor and Pollux, abducting the daughters of of Leucippus, who were betrothed to their cousins, Idas and Lynceus. This lead to a feud that resulted in Castor being mortally wounded. Pollux asked his real dad, Zeus (who had raped his mother, Leda, as a swan), to share his half-olympian immortality with the dying Castor; they became the two brightest stars in the constellation Gemini.
